See the new black at Production Outfitters! The Sony PVM-740 OLED
field monitor is another leap in Sony imaging technology. Using the
new OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology, blacks are black,
contrast is mesmerizing and your picture never looked so good. The
new “Flip” feature can swap the image horizontally, vertically, or
combined so that over and under 3D rig viewing is a simple push of a
button. The SD/HD/3G input is an option so even display of HD 60P
images is a snap.

Albuquerque, NM – Production Outfitters recently produced 3D stock footage of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Director/DP Gary Marsh, Stereographers Erik Donald and Allan Crawford shot for three days capturing amazing HD, 3D stock footage. “3D stock footage is a growing demand that we are meeting every day here at Production Outfitters.” Marsh adds. “We have constructed our own rig to support true, HD 3D using our existing high end Sony CineAlta 2/3 in chip cameras, to achieve true cinematic HD, 3D production.”
Sony PDW-F800 HD XDCAM

Albuquerque, NM – The PDW-F800 camcorder is the newest member of our CineAlta HD line. It is equipped with three 2/3-inch type CCDs and a “Power HAD FX” progressive CCD with 1920 x 1080 effective pixels. Stunning-quality HD images can be captured at a data rate of up to 50Mbps using the MPEG-2 4:2:2 compression.
Our F800 is seening lots of action behind the scenes of “Knockout” and most recently on the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships on ESPN for Windfall Productions.
The F800 is a great addition to the growing arsenal of HD cameras at Production Outfitters. It provides multi-format recording flexibility including 1080i, 720P and SD, which comes with HD/SD conversion and cross conversion between 1080i and 720P. With features such as Slow & Quick Motion (over-crank and under-crank recording) make the PDW-F800 ideal for cinema and TV drama productions, as wel as ENG applications.
