HDCAM CineAlta
The F900, sometimes called the CineAlta, is the first truly universal high definition camera. It is capable of shooting in various frame rates (23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, and 59.94), in NTSC or PAL, and in both progressive and interlaced modes. Its native aspect ratio is 16:9 or 1.77:1, but masks can be set in order to frame for 4:3 or 2.35:1. Its resolution is 1920×1080.

The Sony PDW- F800 Camcorder offers multi-format recording flexibility including 1080i, 720P and SD, which comes with HD/SD conversion and cross conversion between 1080i and 720P. It is equipped with three 2/3-inch type CCDs and a “Power HAD FX” progressive CCD with 1920 x 1080 effective pixels.
HDCAM EDITING & CONVERSIONS
At Production Outfitters we use both Final Cut Pro Studio 2 HD, Boris Continuum Complete plug-ins, Adobe CS4 and Media 100 HD in our Uncompressed High Definition Editing, Mastering and Duplication suite. This suite includes Aja KONA LHe card and Sony HDW-1800 which allows for uncompressed 4:2:2 edting and mastering.
These editing systems input a variety of formats and frame rates, including 24p, and master in both Standard Definition and High Definition tape formats and video files.
Services include Sony HDCAM 1080 interlace and progressive conversions and duplication including 24p and 23.98. You can edit HDCAM footage on your system by having us convert your HDCAM footage to practically any HD/SD editing codec or tape format like BetaSP, DVCAM, MiniDV, DVD, VHS, Media Player or Quicktime files, 720p and many more including MPEG varieties.

The PDW-F800 camcorder is the newest member of our CineAlta HD line. It is equipped with three 2/3-inch type CCDs and a “Power HAD FX” progressive CCD with 1920 x 1080 effective pixels. Stunning-quality HD images can be captured at a data rate of up to 50Mbps using the MPEG-2 4:2:2 compression.
