Gary Marsh
Director and Director of Photography
Gary Marsh has extensive experience as a Director and Director of Photography.
His experience gives ideas direction and gets projects completed on time.
Gary has been involved with still photography since 1981 and television production and broadcasting since 1986. In that time he has worked as a Lighting Designer, Camera Operator, Director and Director of Photography for commercials, documentaries, industrials, NEWS, Magazine programs and sports & music entertainment.
His fifteen years of lighting and camera background is instrumental in delivering high production values while keeping set-up time to a minimum. His sequence-style shooting keeps the editor in mind when shooting B-roll and demonstration sequences, as well as significant cutaways, and reaction shots. His experience helps in finding locations, foreseeing problems, working together to find solutions, and minimizing shooting delays.
Gary's involvement with production has taken him to many locations in the southwest. This has established a rapport with the Native American communities, the Federal and State agencies, and the locals in this region.
He is no stranger to advertising, or the studio, and is experienced in tabletop and interior lighting and shooting. His efforts for this have not gone unnoticed. New Mexico Broadcasting Co. awarded Gary the "Technical Excellence" award in 1992. Other projects where he was involved as the Director of Photography or the Lighting Designer have won ADDY awards, Rocky Mountain Emmy awards and numerous Telly Awards.
